Textile art is an art and craft that uses factory fabrics, synthetic fibers or animals (such as leather), to construct objects into decorative volumes.

The world, men, women and children, use fabrics made into clothing to protect themselves from the cold, UV rays and prying eyes. We also dress for aesthetic reasons, to differentiate ourselves from others, to show a certain social status, our power or our wealth or out of simple coquetry, the desire to be fashionable and fashionable.

Jaym recycles many materials, the fabric which is thrown away in too large quantities, is therefore part of its stock, they are separated from their basic objects, clothes, shoes, handbags, etc. to be reassembled in a more decorative way.

The artist started a huge collection of materials, colors, patterns, substantial textures, invested in a sewing machine and had fun sorting out the tassels, buttons, zippers and beads that could be sewn on it.

Jonathan Simon de Séverac appropriates this waste by valorizing it, often considered as a feminine practice, he marginalizes himself from this remark and likes to sew together, different pieces of silk, satin, cotton, leather, wool, to offering spectators a new perspective of these materials in a prestigious art by removing its primary utility.
