Volume is a shape that occupies a place in space, it is measurable in width, height, thickness, it can be weighed. It offers a 3-dimensional view, it brings more strength to the subject, more intensity. It provides visual material. We can touch it, caress it, feel its different textures, feel its hollows, its bumps, its curves, its edges...
I like to create volumes by molding mainly, but not only that, I can sculpt wood, or assemble objects, shapes, different materials, to give my room a unique atmosphere. I can cut, glue, sand, smash or simply make a plaster cast and pour cement or concrete into it in order to obtain an object perceptible by sight and touch, of which I carefully study the shapes, the defects, the smallest details of the base material used to create a volume, in order to offer you a harmonious, pleasant, curious mass...
This volume could be the faithful reflection of its model, just like an illusion of something, it could be abstract, erotic, sensual, it will be an eternal imprint of a body but above all the drawing of my reflection and my taste.
It will be a bust, a column, animal, statue, wood, stone, glass, metal, an ornament, warmth, softness and their opposites or even an emptiness or a fullness...
