Faster, more efficient, more imaginative, more creative, more powerful, more Henri Matisse or Keith Haring... Making silhouettes accumulates shapes to define their volume and the quickest way to define a character is through its silhouette!

In this section, I invite you to travel into paintings that represent fantasies, dreamed silhouettes, serene and beautiful. They are the linear shadows cast and the precise reproduction of their contours reveal the shapes of what is represented.

They are my puppets, my Chinese shadows of the theater of life, of what I observe. I draw, paint, sometimes cut out shapes to obtain very precise curves but without details of people or objects, or landscapes...

If we go back to prehistory, this drawing process can be attributed to the invention of drawing and painting, remember the cave paintings, notably those of the Lascaux caves!

According to a Greek legend, it was the daughter of Dibutade who traced the profile of her lover Polémon on a wall before his departure for a distant journey. Thus the silhouette image is an illustration of this ancient myth which continues.

The art of the silhouette can retain real relevance and a creative power which allows a significant renewal in artistic creation.
