There are major works by master artiststhat I love more than others, I want to pay homage to them, some will think that I am destroying these masterpieces and others who adore these covers. I start from a photo of the original creation, I deteriorate it as much as possible in order to obtain a raster of pixels, I can add a graphic or colorimetric effect if I deem it necessary, I reproduce each small square one by one and respect the color of my scan. I try to make my rendering understandable from a distance.
This technique requires a lot of patience, on certain productions, we can count thousands of squares to cover, the rendering is very contemporary and can very well adapt to people nostalgic for our old games, graphics that we had as children, like this famous “Mario Bros” or even “Zelda”, which suggests a plumber or an adventurer copied from “Robin Hood”.
I grew up with video games, I have owned almost all the consoles released, from the first "Odyssey" and its famous hyper-simplified ping-pong to the "PS4" from "Sony" and its hyper realistic games. I've loved every game I've played, I've completed many of them, so it's only natural that today I also pay homage to those mosaic designs that rocked my spotty childhood and adolescence.
