Where some will cry plagiarism, I say no, only inspiration. I would never claim to surpass a master creator. Plagiarism is bad but it is important not to limit our thoughts on this subject, I do not make copies or forgeries, I do not sign the name of the original artist, I reappropriate the work to pay homage to its author, it goes without saying that it will not be a true replica, it will have my personal touch. Legally, plagiarism does not exist, but counterfeiting does, and I would never practice this act.
There are lots of paintings that I love, lots of fictional characters that I like, so why couldn't I paint them?
During my years of artistic study, many of my subjects were inspired by what already exists, from this or that painter, from this or that movement.
The ultimate goal for each of us is to find a unique style, but contemporary art has many works that steal images known to the general public and adapt them to their compositions.
I simply do the same and too bad if your morals don't appreciate it!
