At the cinema I really like fantasy films, it's not my favorite genre but it's fair to say that I enjoy watching them sometimes. We are all fascinated or intrigued by ancient myths and legends. In painting it is easy to mix the modern world with magical, extraterrestrial or divine forces, painting the supernatural is simple and allows you to let your imagination run wild, without code, without academic technical obligations.
My fantasy artworks often seek to represent a character or scene from a parallel universe, one can imagine dragons, wizards or fairies attacking each other. We can make minotaurs love each other with giants or Lilliputians. In this theme there are no more limits.
What I also like is that it's a counter-culture movement, because the representations use fields opposed to official science, it can also touch on the paranormal, so the living like "death", wow that makes fear, we can illustrate alchemy, disappeared or non-existent civilizations. I use areas of my brain with under-exploited powers, which the humanity of naive spectators cannot find rational, of course this last sentence is sarcasm, a singular mockery to support my explanation.
