We are all attracted to a famous personality, especially when they are widely exposed in the media.However, these public figures have an ordinary life, they remain mortal, I understand that almost all of us would like to have their lives which are well helped by bank accounts, for many but not always, well filled, let us not forget that as they are As humans, they experience stress and illness, they have problems with alcohol or drugs, with the law, with their spouses, in short like all of us!
I like to pay homage to certain "people", as they are called in trash magazines, I use the symbol that they represent in our eyes and it must be said that the "celebrity factor" has a greater impact for the viewer , he can easily identify and understand a work by recognizing who is painted on it.
In general, artists who use this subject excessively seek more to become famous themselves, they thus hope to touch the sensitivity of the public, who by all logic, if they appreciate the character, will like the painting. For my part, I do not try to associate myself with the image of a celebrity to create buzz, I am often even shocked by the disproportionate number of artists who, when a well-known person dies, reproduce a portrait of him in order to to make money and gain recognition.
I want to highlight gestures, details, show the element that made them adored stars, if it is necessary to show superficiality, I will do it, if my paintings must become concerts they will play the melodies of the singers or groups they will represent. I want to be the maker of who they are inside by throwing my paint on a canvas.
